Presenter:Phil Whelan
Every weekday from noon, The Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from current affairs to cookery, sport, the arts, technology, and music... lots of music.
It’s Wednesday on The Brew. Tracy Quan is still having some Tracy Quiet time, and she’ll be back sometime soon for more Wednesday chats. At 12:40 RTL France’s Philippe Dova joins us live from Paris. Last week we were at the Paris Motor Show to discover the new Citroën 2CV, and he promised he’d go back this week to talk about the massive influx of Chinese car brands. At 1:25 it’s Classical Music Day with Paul Archibald, live from Bangkok. Today it’s all about the Neapolitan school, the sunny, melodic opera style that came out of Naples in the 18th century. Think bright tunes and plenty of sparkle, a bit like the three-flavour ice cream that takes its name from the same city.
