Major military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War

    主持人:CM Chan and Chloe Feng

Tune in this Saturday to Trending China with CM Chan and Chloe Feng!
This week, we’ll talk about the major military parade that took place this week, marking the 80th anniversary of Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The parade took place right at the heart of Beijing on Chang'an Avenue in front of Tian’anmen Square - where a wide range of new weapons were unveiled.
So just how powerful are these newly unveiled weapons? What are some of the key technologies featured at the parade across air, land, and sea? And what does China’s military advancement mean for the rest of the world?
CM Chan and Chloe Feng will discuss this with Dr Jingdong Yuan, a senior researcher and director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, or SIPRI’s China and Asia Security programme.
Tune in this Saturday at 8:30, on Radio 3!
