Rising "self-love" trend

This week Chloe Feng and Brian Wong examines the rising self-love trend in Chinese mainland.

Many young people are embracing this sentiment, expressing newfound values with phrases like “love you, my dear self” and “a first toast to myself.”

This cultural shift coincides with increased self-compassion campaigns, as youth prioritize emotional well-being amid a competitive job market.
