On 31 May 1901, several star artists of the turn of the century joined forces in Wigmore Hall’s first ever performance. This special programme replicates elements from Wigmore Hall’s inaugural concert with a roster of today’s leading musicians – a Gala Concert with composer/pianist Thomas Adès – whose new arrangement of Vesper (for Henry Purcell) commissioned by Wigmore Hall receives its world premiere. Violinist Alina Ibragimova, pianist Cédric Tiberghien, soprano Louise Alder and pianist Joseph Middleton also contribute to the celebration.

1901年5月31日，多位享譽一時的音樂名家雲集威格摩音樂廳，攜手呈獻開幕音樂會，揭開這座世界知名室樂殿堂的輝煌歷史。為慶祝創館125周年，音樂廳特別策劃誌慶音樂會，重現當年開幕演出的部分節目，並邀請當今樂壇多位傑出演奏家同台獻藝，當中包括作曲家兼鋼琴家阿迪斯——由威格摩爾音樂廳委約阿迪斯創作的《晚禱（致浦賽爾）》，亦於當晚作世界首演。小提琴家伊貝拉紀莫娃、鋼琴家堤伯基恩 、女高音亞爾德，以及鋼琴家美道頓亦將攜手演出，共賀這座音樂殿堂的重要里程碑。
