Maestro Honeck juxtaposes the evocation of Beethoven’s love of nature in his Pastoral Symphony with his own Suite from Strauss’s Elektra. Set against the mythic backdrop of Mycenae in the years after the Trojan War, the Suite further paints the seething world of Elektra, Clytemnestra, and Orestes through its music of psychological violence, dark obsession, and explosive orchestral brilliance.
指揮家漢力克將貝多芬《田園交響曲》中對大自然的眷戀，與其親自編配的李察．史特勞斯《埃萊克特拉》組曲並列呈現。組曲以特洛伊戰爭後邁錫尼的神話時代為背景，藉著極具心理暴力、深沉執念與劇烈管弦交響交織的音符，勾勒出埃萊克特拉、克麗達妮斯特拉與歐雷斯特三人之間驚心動魄的情感糾葛。

This concert takes the ancient and vibrant sounds of reeds as threads weaving a symphonic map transcending geographical boundaries and civilisations and presents a panorama of reed instruments across a myriad of cultures - from the robust tune-types of Northern Shanxi to the elegant tones of the Tang-dynasty sheng preserved in Japan’s Shō Repository, from the graceful melodies of the bamboo lusheng in the mountains of Guizhou and Guangxi to the southern charm of the Thai khaen, and even the fantastical improvisations of the Russian vargan.
本場音樂會以古老而富生命力的簧管之聲為緯，織就出一幅跨越地域界限與文明的交響圖景。節目全方位呈獻多元文化的簧管樂器風貌——從晉北吹打的粗獷曲牌，到日本正倉院所藏唐笙之雅音；從黔桂山間蘆笙的悠揚旋律，以至泰國排笙的嶺南風情，乃至俄羅斯口弦的奇幻即興，皆囊括其中，勾勒出一幅橫跨多種文化、風格各異的簧管音樂全景。
