2026 marks the 95th birthday anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the passing of Peng Xiuwen, a towering figure in modern Chinese orchestral music - a trailblazer of 20th-century Chinese music whose output not only laid the artistic foundation for the modern Chinese orchestra, but also propelled it onto the international stage. On this occasion, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra pays tribute showcasing Peng’s original compositions and timeless arrangements, recapturing the grandeur of his works and honouring his enduring legacy with guest musicians from China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra.

2026年為中國現代民族管弦樂一代宗師彭修文誕辰九十五周年暨逝世三十周年紀念。作為二十世紀中國音樂的重要開拓者，彭修文畢生致力推動民族管弦樂的發展，其創作與改編作品奠定現代中樂團的藝術基礎，並將中國民族管弦樂推向國際舞台。香港中樂團特別策劃本場紀念音樂會，除精選彭修文的原創作品及經典改編，還特邀彭修文生前執棒的中國廣播民族樂團的演奏家代表參與演出，重現其恢宏磅礴的音樂風采，向這位一代大師的卓越藝術成就及深遠影響致以崇高敬意。
