This magnificent opera presented in the Sunday Opera programme features soprano Zinka Milanov in the title role as La Gioconda. Tenor Giuseppe di Stefano as Enzo, a young Genoese sea captain. Mezzo-soprano Rosalind Elias as Enzo’s former betrothed. Bass Plinio Clabassi as councilor of Venice and baritone Leonard Warren as a spy. Orchestra e Coro dell’Accademica di Santa Cecilia di Roma performed under the barton of Fernado Previtali.
