In the second of two episodes, the expedition continues apace. We find out how the great discovery in the 1990s of the Cryolophosaurus, dubbed the T-Rex of Antarctica, and a 25-foot-long plant eater, the Glacialisaurus, lead to a renewed interest in a continent that was once thought to be largely devoid of life. And reveal how new evidence that a tough proto-mammal, Lystrosaurus, may have hibernated to survive dark polar winters and toxic climate upheaval; and, ultimately, reveal what happened to the Antarctic dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures after the infamous asteroid struck the earth 66 million years ago.
