The kids explore how forms of animation including thaumatropes and stop motion, use persistence of vision. We create movie effects with the illusion of forced perspective; activate the patellar reflex; discover why humans have evolved opposable thumbs; solve a steps-based logic puzzle and marvel at the shape memory of a metal alloy called Nitinol. Fun future facts check out the development of exoskeletons, that may assist disabled people to regain movement. And we discover how the future of computing might be carried out on a quantum level, allowing for much greater computing power.
