We usually imagine tour guides showing us sights, but visually impaired guides offer a unique perspective. Though visually impaired, Cindy Tsui and Gigi Tam possess acute hearing that acts like a navigation system, using sound to navigate directions and "paint" vivid landscapes.

Together, they demonstrate how delicate hearing and touch can transform darkness into a vibrant, multi-sensory journey. Their story invites us to pause amidst the city's noise, listen closely, and experience the beautiful details our eyes often miss.

In a busy world, a voice can unexpectedly deeply move us. In recent years, more creators have used audio programs to share stories and build connection.

Candy launched an interview channel to highlight diverse professions, believing sound is a lasting form of energy. Meanwhile, friends Christy and Ah Yin regularly record together to share their thoughts and laughter with listeners. Children’s audio creator Ah Lap has produced over 300 episodes, comforting kids as they grow and navigate emotions.

Without images, audio creates a uniquely intimate space for genuine companionship.

      Finding Birds Through Sound

This episode uses birdsong to explore Hong Kong’s rich avian world.
Nature educators Matthew and Hoiling visit Sha Tin Central Park to demonstrate how to identify birds by tuning into nature’s frequencies amidst urban noise. They also feature bird species from Tai Mo Shan at the Flow with Big Mountain exhibition in Koon Man Space.
Meanwhile, Jay, a Research Officer at the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, uses ecoacoustic techniques in Hok Tau. By recording countryside birdsong and training AI to identify species, this research helps unlock the mysteries of the natural world.
