The Current
On tonight's The Current, we take a closer look at Hong Kong's building maintenance sector, as the Urban Renewal Authority prepares to roll out a new tendering platform aimed at bringing greater transparency to building maintenance contracts. We also examine the recent water supply disruption in Shau Kei Wan, which left residents and businesses without water for mare than 20 hours, and what it reveals about the state of the city's ageing pipe network. Finally, we turn to Thailand, where construction is underway on a high-speed rail line to China, with the government targeting 2030 for completion of its first 250km phase.
