Trump fired Kristi Noem as homeland security secretary / 2026 FIFA World Cup / Workplace Happiness Index

On this programme, we talked to experts about US President Donald Trump's decision to fire the head of the Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem last week. She was responsible for carrying out his sweeping immigration crackdown, and will be replaced by Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin.
After the break, we looked ahead to the 2026 World Cup. The International Football Association Board earlier approved a package of measures aimed at speeding up the pace of matches and cracking down on time wasting, with the changes set to come into force at the upcoming World Cup and all other competitions.
And to wrap up the show, a recruitment platform head told us all about the latest findings in their workplace happiness index. They previously asked over 1,000 Hong Kong employees about how happy there were with their jobs, and analysed the key reasons behind it.

    主持人:Jenny Lam and Ada Wong

On Monday’s Backchat, we talked about the government’s plans to tighten anti-smoking regulations.

Authorities have proposed amending existing anti-smoking laws, which will include a ban on the possession and use of alternative smoking products, such as e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products, in public by next year.
Other potential measures include prohibiting smoking while queuing and within three metres of the doorways of hospitals, clinics, care homes, and childcare centres.
After the news, we turned our attention to sports technology and learned more from the startup behind the running track dubbed the world’s “fastest”.
And after 9:45, we learned more about a recent tourism satisfaction index published by the Polytechnic University.
