Consumer Electronics Show / Obesity trends / EU-Mercosur deal and French protests

On Friday's programme, we began the show by talking about Hong Kong's involvement at the Consumer Electronics Show in the US, one of the world's largest tech conventions.

We then focused on health, because a study has found that nearly one in two people in the SAR is overweight, or obese.

After the break, we turned to France, where the government faces renewed political pressure following large-scale protests against the EU-Mercosur trade deal. The agreement was approved despite France’s opposition in the EU Council. Can French President Emmanuel Macron withstand another political crisis?

Falling property prices / Climate change and food security / Liverpool's Premier League victory

    主持人:Azam Khan and Mike Rowse

On Tuesday's Backchat, we looked at Hong Kong's property prices.

The prices of residential homes in the city have declined for the fourth consecutive month, reaching their lowest levels in nearly nine years. Experts attribute this downturn to a combination of global uncertainties as well as natural economic slowdowns.
Data from the Ratings and Valuation Department shows the city's official price index dropped to 284.2 in March, while rents increased by 0.1 percent to 193.3. What do these trends reveal about the state of our property market?
After the news, we learned more about climate change’s impact on coconut production and food supply in general.

And in the last part of the show, we spoke to a local Liverpool fan about the team’s victory in the Premier League.

    9:05am-9:30am: Falling property prices

9:05am-9:30am: Hannah Jeong, Head of Valuation and Advisory Services at CBRE
9:05am-9:30am: Rita Li, Professor at the Department of Economics and Finance at Hong Kong Shue Yan University

9:32am-9:47am: Climate change and food security
