On Thursday's Backchat, we discussed the importance of weight management.
A survey recently conducted by the Hong Kong College of Cardiology found that that around half of Hongkongers are overweight or obese, meaning they are at a significantly higher risk of coming down with chronic illnesses like hypertension, coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke.
We talked with two experts to find out more about the health risks associated with obesity, and what needs to be done to address the problem.
After the break, we turned our attention to the needs of the elderly community, and spoke to the representative of the Golden Age Foundation for ways to further boost the development of the silver economy.
Wrapping up our programme, we reviewed the performance of the IPO markets in both Hong Kong and the mainland in the first half of this year.
