WHO recommendations on sugar and smoking / "Interstellar object" discovery / DAB's birth rate proposals

    主持人:Azam Khan and Mike Rowse

On Monday's Backchat, we looked at the World Health Organization's call on governments to increase the prices of items like tobacco, alcohol and sugary drinks to raise public revenue and cut chronic disease.

We heard from experts about the feasibility of the suggestion, and whether more can be done in the SAR to safeguard public health.

After the break, we blasted off into space, to learn more about an object that appears to be from beyond our solar system. The object appears to be zooming towards the sun and poses no threat to Earth. If confirmed, it would be the third visitor from beyond our cosmic neighbourhood to be detected.

And finally, we spoke to a lawmaker about ways to boost the local birthrate, as the DAB held a roundtable meeting to discuss Hong Kong's population strategy.

9:05am-9:30am: WHO recommendations on sugar and smoking

    Speakers:

    - Dion Chen, Member of the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food; Principal of Ying Wah College

    - Henry Tong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH)
