Strait of Hormuz situation / HK Electric's intelligent operations and emergency responses centre / Google's AI leadership shake-up

On this programme, we first focus on the Strait of Hormuz as Iran moves closing to finalising an agreement with Oman on defining new shipping lanes. However, Tehran repeated that the US must meet other conditions, including compensation and putting an end to sanctions and military threats, before the waterway is reopened.
After the break, we learn more about an intelligent operations and emergency responses centre that uses AI to monitor and respond to potential risks during the typhoon season.
And finally, we take a closer look into tech giant Google's AI leadership shake-up. Demis Hassabis, the Nobel-prize winning head of its Google DeepMind lab, stepped down from his role to become chair of the lab and chief scientist of Google’s parent company, Alphabet.

    主持人:Azam Khan and John Bruce
