Cuba humanitarian crisis / Hong Kong Rugby Sevens / Menopause awareness

On this programme, we looked at the latest situation in Cuba, as the growing humanitarian crisis resulting from Washington's fuel embargo continues to grip the island. Despite thousands suffering in hospitals or without food, US President Donald Trump has threatened Havana saying "you're next". Many Cubans have taken to the streets to show resistance, and Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel says he will not capitulate under US threats.

After the break, we heard how preparations are coming along for the upcoming Hong Kong Sevens that will return to the Kai Tak Sports Stadium next weekend.

And to wrap up the show, we talked to an advocacy group that promotes the awareness of menopause in Hong Kong and helps women bridge the gaps in care.

Gaza peace plan / Our Southerly Days art walk

    主持人:Azam Khan and Mike Rowse

On Monday's Backchat, we looked at the latest development in the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Last Thursday, Israel and Hamas agreed on the first phase of US President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan. Hamas would release all 20 living hostages in exchange for 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. Israeli troops also began pulling back from some parts of Gaza last Friday.

We talked to experts on what comes next in the ceasefire deal, and whether Palestinians in Gaza will see long-term peace soon.

And after the break, we learnt more about the new art walk in the Southern District that'll be launched by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

The event's curator told us how they would tell the story of the area's history through interactive artworks.

    9:05am-9:45am: Gaza peace plan

    Speakers:

James Dorsey, Adjunct Senior Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)

Eyal Mayroz, Senior Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Sydney's Discipline of Sociology and Criminology

9:45am-10:00am: Our Southerly Days art walk

    Speaker:

Alan Cheung, Exhibition Curator alongside Co-founder and Managing Director of One Bite Design Studio
