China-UK rapprochement / Gaza ceasefire deal
On this week’s edition of Global Focus, we’re talking about the future of Sino-British relations. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves at the China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue in Beijing last week, as both sides signaled their willingness to re-engage after a six year hiatus, with trade and green energies high on the agenda.
However, uncertainty looms as to how much influence the new Trump administration would have on the future of economic ties between the UK and China.
