For years, David Bellis, founder of Gwulo.com, has hunted for photos and images of old Hong Kong, eventually compiling them into five volumes of Old Hong Kong Photos and the Tales They Tell. In this 2023 interview with Annemarie Evans, he shares how he uncovers these precious images and the stories behind. Along the way, he also reveals fascinating tidbits of the past, and reflects on the true meaning of “home”.
