Every weekday from noon, The Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from current affairs to cookery, sport, the arts, technology, and music... lots of music.
Happy Friday, and welcome to The Brew. At 12:10 it’s Marshy Movie Time with James Marsh, live from Chiang Mai. Reviews today include VisionQuest, which has become Disney+’s most-watched show, and Tenzing, the Apple TV film about Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary that has topped the movie charts in ninety-two countries. At 1:25 it’s Sports and All with Danny Hicks, our second this week, and he’s live once again from the Hong Kong Open in Fanling. Yesterday local golfers Matthew Cheung and Isaac Lam both shot six under and briefly led the field, the first time two Hong Kong players have topped the board in the tournament’s history. Join Danny and James on Facebook live if you can

It’s Tuesday on The Brew. At 12:10 biz futurist Morris Miselowski joins us live from Melbourne. It’s Brain Week, and Stanford reckon your brain isn’t one organ, it’s two. The bit that keeps you breathing and your heart going grew from a completely different starting cell to the bit that does maths and poetry and worries about the mortgage. They’ve just been sharing a skull for about 500 million years. At 12:40 Jarrod Watt with this week’s Aussie news and more great tracks from Down Under. Then at 1:25, this week only, Classical Music Day is on a Tuesday. Paul Archibald joins us from Bangkok. International Music Day is Thursday, so we’ll whizz around the world and explore different styles and cultures, all wrapped up with a bit of classical influence.
