    The Brew

    簡介

    GIST

    主持人:Phil Whelan

Every weekday from noon, The Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from current affairs to cookery, sport, the arts, technology, and music... lots of music. For 19 years, Phil has presented 'Morning Brew', but now that we've moved to the lunchtime spot, all we need to change is the name. We have the same MB crew coming to you on the same days, and we're open for business... as usual.

Mark Rawson - Hong Kong Music / Danny Hicks - Sports and All

Happy Thursday. Welcome along to The Brew, where we have even more wonderful Hong Kong musical talent to bring to you, from the top. Mark Rawson will introduce you, once again, to another selection of tracks that have been exclusively... Brewed in HK. Dr. Dave the vet is still away travelling the globe, and will be back with you after the Lunar New Year holiday. Danny Hicks is still at the Australian Open, from where he will bring you this week's tennis women's semis 'Sports and All' at 1:25. Again, we will be a day earlier than normal due the tournament schedule. You can listen (only) to Danny on Facebook live as well. Feel free to ask him any questions.

Robbie McRobbie – Rugby / Chris Watts – Motion Dynamics / Leanne Nicholls – Symphony of New Worlds

    主持人:Phil Whelan

Welcome to a wet and getting wetter Monday here on The Brew. It's perfect rugby weather, so Robbie McRobbie will be with you at his usual time of 12.10, with all the latest. Chris Watts is with us at 12.40 to fix your 'training zones', so stick around and join him on Facebook live if you can. He'll happily answer any questions you may have about, well, anything really. Neil Runcieman is busy today, so he'll be back next week. Instead, at 1.25 we'll be finding out all about a very cool French May event called 'Symphony of New Worlds'. It's a wonderful combo of music and movement styles from around the world. It involves two orchestras as well, one of them being the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. Our friend (and CCOHK boss) Leanne Nicholls will fill you in. And... as The Peninsula Hotel is the lead sponsor for this event, you can win dinner for two at 'Felix' today, as well. Listen out for the question so simple that even Phil knows the answer, and email your answer, and your phone number, to radio3@rthk.hk. As usual, we'll pick a name from the hat near the end of today's Brew (clue: brush up on your Pen history).
