    Solo-preneurship

China’s solo-preneurship era has arrived. Local governments are offering free apartments, converted offices and other perks to lure “One Person Companies” (OPCs) — single-founder startups that use AI tools like vibe-coding agents and video generators to build products solo, sometimes even without venture funding or staff.

Can AI-powered solo ventures scale into lasting businesses? What opportunities are there? Chloe Feng and Brian Wong will be discussing this with Kevin Pereira, Managing Director at Blu Artificial Intelligence, and Lin Zhang, an associate professor at the University of New Hampshire.

Popularity of Zootopia on the mainland

    主持人:Chloe Feng and Ashley Dudarenok

This week, we explore how Zootopia 2 has  become a record-breaking hit in on the mainland. Against the backdrop of a cooling domestic US market, this animated sequel - not a Marvel or classic Disney title - has redefined Hollywood's success on the mainland. It earned $34 million on its opening day, setting a new record for a US animated debut in China, and is projected to surpass 2.4 billion yuan at the box office. So what sets Zootopia apart? How has Disney connected with audiences where others have struggled? We’ll discuss these questions with film critics Elizabeth Kerr and Timmy Chen.
