Terrence Simien, a GRAMMY winner and one of zydeco’s biggest stars, takes host Jacob Edgar on a horseback trail ride followed by a jam with the next generation of Creole musicians. The Lost Bayou Ramblers, a young Cajun music band bring Music Voyager to their family camp for a musical get together on the banks of the Vermillion River, followed by a soulful duet by songwriter David Egan and singer Marc Broussard. In this enchanting episode, Music Voyager experiences the food, lifestyles and culture of Southwest Louisiana.

He visits the Grammy Museum and meets renowned producer Tricky Stewart, who has worked with top artists like Beyoncé and Katy Perry. Tricky shares insights into the producer's life and invites Jacob to his exclusive Grammy party, where stars arrive in luxury cars and walk the red carpet. Jacob also takes time to explore Los Angeles, showcasing his favorite local record store, Latin nightclub, and radio station. The journey ends at the Staples Center, where crowds gather for the awards ceremony.

In this episode, Music Voyager host Jacob Edgar travels to Denver, Colorado as part of his Road to a GRAMMY© series. He meets banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck, a multiple GRAMMY© nominee, and visits the workshop where the GRAMMY statuettes are crafted. Edgar joins Fleck for a banjo master class and a concert at a top Denver venue. Fleck shares his banjo obsession and the story behind his acclaimed film and album, Throw Down Your Heart, which explores his musical adventures in Africa. Viewers are treated to an unplugged rendition of the title track. Edgar also explores the Denver lifestyle, including ski resorts, record stores, and Country & Western dance clubs. He tries Rocky Mountain Oysters and experiences a mechanical bull ride on this entertaining journey to the Mile High City.

Jamaica's popular music today is dancehall. Edgar explores the movement at Reggae Sumfest and Fully Loaded festivals. Elephant Man, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, and others deliver electrifying performances. Edgar interviews producer King Jammy at his studio for insights into dancehall's early days. Behind-the-scenes chaos and culinary delights are showcased at Sumfest. A visit to Flankers, a poor neighborhood, reveals inspiring local kids and their impressive dance moves. The episode concludes with a visit to Chino and Steven MacGregor's home and studio, where they share jerk chicken and play some dancehall works in progress.

Jamaican reggae emerged in the 1970s, but its origins and development are explored in this episode. Edgar discovers the African roots of Jamaican music through a kumina drumming session with the Akwaaba Drummers in the jungle. He travels with Ronnie Burke to Negril, meeting Gilzene and the Blue Light Mento Band for a performance of classic Jamaican mento. They also visit the Peter Tosh Memorial in Kingston to discuss his reggae legacy. Edgar learns about ska and rocksteady from guitar legend Ernest Ranglin and participates in a jam session with Sly Dunbar and other musicians. Lastly, the episode concludes with an intimate concert by Marcia Griffiths, a member of Bob Marley's band, at Strawberry Hill resort.

Ask the average person about Jamaican music and they'll likely mention Bob Marley. In this episode, Jacob Edgar meets with popular reggae artists who are carrying on the tradition of roots reggae.

Edgar visits St. Thomas, east of Kingston, to meet Tarrus Riley, a rising reggae singer. They explore a local market and Tarrus performs an unplugged set by the sea, where he once lived. Edgar attends Tarrus' record release party and a show at Sumfest, Jamaica's largest music festival. He then travels to the hills outside Kingston to meet Richie Spice, a reggae star. They visit Richie Spice's family farm and discuss the social significance of reggae and Rastafarianism.

The episode concludes with a visit to Etana, a young singer blending reggae and neo-soul, who has gained immense popularity in Jamaica. Edgar and Etana discuss the challenges faced by women in the Jamaican music industry, and Etana and her band deliver a captivating acoustic performance on Goldeneye beach.

Jacob discovers that Delhi is vast, arid yet green, and possesses a distinct energy compared to Mumbai. Against his production crew's advice, he indulges in street food, unaware of the consequences that may follow.

Jacob encounters Rabbi Shergill, a renowned Sikh musician with a sufi influence, famed for his song 'Bulla.' Rabbi and his band are performing at a charity concert, leaving Jacob uncertain about this "electrified Sikh" artist. During the event, Jacob also meets Indian Ocean, a prominent fusion band, who invite him to their centuries-old practice hall. Their manager, Druv, is a Bollywood actor and a mischievous Delhi local.

Jacob visits a park to meet Rabbi, where they discuss music. Unbeknownst to the crew, the park serves as a meeting place for Delhi's singles. As Rabbi performs an unplugged version of 'Bulla,' Jacob falls ill in the bushes, leaving the crew unsure whether to continue filming or rescue him.

In awe of Umaid Bhavan, Jacob stays as a guest, then encounters desert singer Papu Ram at Mehrangarh Fort. Taking in Jodhpur's blue cityscape, he discovers the fort's preparations for the Jodhpur International Folk Festival.

Jacob dines in the city, meets Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji at Umaid Bhavan, and enjoys performances by gypsy musicians and desert dancers. In Ajmer, he visits Gharib Nawaz, experiencing authentic qawwali singers.

With unforgettable desert experiences, Jacob heads back to Delhi, India's capital.

Sona Mohapatra, with her unique voice and artistic integrity, takes him on a tour of Bombay's musical inspirations. Jacob also learns the art of creating Bollywood hits from Sona's husband, Ram Sampat. 

Kailash Kher, a renowned performer and producer, introduces Jacob to the fusion of forgotten languages and innovative sounds. Together with his band Kailasa, they explore personal inspirations in Lonavala, captivating crowds with impromptu performances. Inspired, Jacob sets off on his next sonic adventure through Rajasthan's hills and deserts.
