    The annual Hong Kong Marathon will be held on January 18th. Like before, the marathon and the half marathon will start in Tsim Sha Tsui. The 10km race will kick off on the Island Eastern Corridor, and the Wheelchair Races will commence at Wan Chai Sports Ground. The finish point will be Victoria Park.
    While the enrolment quota remains 74,000, the number of applicants is a record-breaking 120,000. There will be a Marathon Expo again at Kai Tak Sports Park for three days before the race, during which the inaugural Youth Run will be held.

      Ancient Egypt Unveiled; Arts Festival

      "Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums" at the Hong Kong Palace Museum is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of ancient Egypt in Hong Kong’s history, featuring 250 ancient treasures, all of which are making their Hong Kong debut.
      The exhibits come from seven prominent museums and recent archaeological sites in Egypt, ranging from statues of pharaohs and deities, painted mummy coffins, gold jewelry to animal mummies and everyday objects. Some of which are on display outside Egypt for the first time. The exhibition runs until August 2026.

Nine themed zones are filled with various light and shadow installations, interactive devices and fantastical creatures.
