After 11:30, Professor Ben Horton, Dean of the School of Energy and Environment at CityU, joins us to discuss his global research and what it means for Hong Kong in the midst of the climate crisis.

Similar to ‘Madama Butterfly’, the opera features a female protagonist who tragically takes her own life after losing her beloved. In the final moment, Tosca chooses to fling herself over the edge. The music of ‘Tosca’ was written in a through-composed manner, further departing from the traditional recitative and aria format. The two arias, ‘Vissi d’arte’ and ‘E lucevan le stelle’, sung by Tosca and Cavaradossi respectively, are the highlights of this magnificent opera.
