Safeguarding Personal Data AI Sandbox / Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center / Embryo sample mix-up saga / Meningococcal disease awareness survey

On this programme, we speak to a representative from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data after they recently joined hands with the Digital Policy Office to launch a measure that aims to provide a collaborative platform for schools to adopt AI solutions.

We then turn our attention over to a space computing research institute that was set up in Beijing, focusing on key research areas such as inter-satellite laser communication and space safety standards.

After the break, a lawmaker tells us more about a recent embryo biopsy mix-up that forced a fertility clinic to halt most of its services.

And to wrap up the show, we learn all about a survey that found nearly 60 percent of parents in Hong Kong mistakenly believe that invasive meningococcal disease is no different from a common cold.

Policy Address fashion / Phauda flammans threat / Basketball betting legalisation / SAR’s bigger role in GBA mediation

    主持人:Azam Khan and Mike Rowse

On Wednesday's programme, we spoke to the designers behind the tie that Chief Executive John Lee wore during his Policy Address speech.

They explained how the green tie, along with a scarf in the same colour that was worn by female officials, puts a spotlight on the SAR's connectivity to the mainland and the rest of the world.

An insectologist then talked about phauda flammans. The moth – which has been seen on Hong Kong Island's stone wall trees – is known for chewing up leaves and stripping banyan trees bare.

We then moved move on to basketball betting, as lawmakers approved a bill to legalise the practice. A legislator told us about how the government can further tackle illegal gambling.

And finally, we spoke to a mediation expert about how a mainland law change could see the SAR handle more such cases arising from the Greater Bay Area.
