Stock trading stamp duties / PolyU's generative artificial intelligence push / Nicholas Halliday won first gold at National Games

    Presenters:Azam Khan and John Bruce

On Friday's Backchat, we learned more about stamp duties on stock trading. It comes after the SAR government saw a more than 140 percent increase in revenue from such transactions in the first two fiscal quarters, and as turnover soared on improved market sentiment.

Experts also gave us their take on the property market, after Hong Kong logged its biggest gains so far this year for lived-in home prices last month.

After the break, we spoke to Polytechnic University researchers who told us how they're pushing the boundaries in generative artificial intelligence - or Gen-AI. Their 'eureka' moment could lead to reducing costs and the democratisation of AI research.

And we capped things off with a look at how Nicholas Halliday has steered Hong Kong, China to the SAR's first National Games gold in sailing! The sport is among a number of events that have already gotten underway before the Games' official November 9 opening.
