Fuel prices surge / "Asian flush" study / Digital gap for the elderly / HK Express moving to Terminal 2

On this programme, we talked to a representative from the transport industry about fuel surcharges. Escalation in the Middle East conflict has propelled global crude oil prices to heights not seen in years. Will airlines and public transportation in Hong Kong be able to weather the storm, or will measures be needed to moderate prices?
We then learned more from a City University professor about the so-called "Asian glow", and how his team's new study may provide a possible explanation behind the condition that affects about 40 percent of the population in East Asia.
Following the break, we talked about the digital divide between the older and younger generation, after a recent survey on the SAR's digital literacy was conducted.
And we wrapped up the show with a conversation talking to the COO of HK Express about the upgrades at Hong Kong International Airport's Terminal 2.

New testing regimen for scaffold nets / AI-assisted bridge inspection tool / Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Kuala Lumpur

    主持人:Azam Khan and Ada Wong

On Tuesday's programme, we looked into Hong Kong’s new testing regimen for external wall scaffold nets.

Announced by the Development Bureau last week, such nets must be sampled on site and pass safety tests by designated laboratories before they can be used. Contractors must also provide fire-retardant certification, and spot checks will be conducted after installation.

We also heard from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University about its AI-assisted bridge inspection method, which has greatly improved testing accuracy.

And after the break, an industry representative, an academic and a lawmaker discussed the trade cooperation between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, as the new Economic and Trade Office there opens this month.

9:05am-9:20am: New testing regimen for scaffold nets
