Iran war updates / ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026 / Brain-computer interface system for Parkinson’s disease

On this programme, we started with the latest developments on the war in the Middle East. Iran says it has control of the The Strait of Hormuz, a key passageway for a fifth of the world's oil, whilst US President Donald Trump has lashed out at a number of allies for rejecting his call to send ships to help keep the Strait open. The US leader also said he needs to postpone his visit to China so he can get a handle on his war, which has escalated to engulf the entire region.

After the break, we talked to New People's Party Chairwoman Regina Ip about her upcoming panel and fan meet at ComplexCon Hong Kong. The event will see a blend of street culture, sneakers, music, and art as one dynamic experience, as well as high-profile performances from the likes of Jennie from Blackpink.

And we ended the show hearing from the lead researcher from Polytechnic University who was part of developing a new brain-computer interface for Parkinson's disease patients.

Temporary bans on Grok AI chatbot / Study on AI reliance among students / Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

    主持人:Azam Khan and Philip Wong

On Wednesday's programme, we'll look at the ban on billionaire Elon Musk's Grok AI chatbot. Indonesia and Malaysia have temporarily blocked the chatbot over its tool to create fake, sexualised images. A number of European countries, including the UK, are also mulling a similar ban.

After the break, we talked to a local think-tank, which recently found in a survey that a quarter of students were unable to do their homework without the help of AI. It's also calling on schools to offer a more comprehensive AI curriculum to better harness the technology.

Wrapping up our programme, a doctor from the Department of Health joined us to talk about the Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.
