China has emerged as one of the world's biggest film markets. Total box office in 2025 grew more than 20 percent from the year before, reaching nearly 52 billion yuan.
Imported animation blockbusters like "Avatar: 3" and "Zootopia 2" were among the top attractions.
But China-made films still dominated domestic ticket sales, highlighted by the hugely popular animated feature "Ne Zha 2" which was also a big hit around the world.

The flying vehicle industry is taking off in China - following Beijing's push to develop the "low-altitude economy" as a new driver for national growth.
Flying vehicles include emerging products that are known as eVTOLs, which stands for "electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft", as well as AAVs, or "autonomous aerial vehicles".
The market has seen tremendous growth, and now covers many different areas, from deliveries to agriculture.
Chloe Feng spoke to two experts on how these state-of-the-art vehicles work, and how they improve lives in China.
