This week, we hear from Colin Whittington, the chairman of the Athletic Veterans Hong Kong (AVOHK). A former British Army veteran, we learn more about his story, running journey both in and out of the city, and his commitment to AVOHK since its inception in 1982. Later, we learn more Dragon Boat Festival in Hong Kong by catching up with some of the best athletes in the game. Stay tuned for a conversation with Ivan Tam and Derek Kam of the Dragon Boat Team and the University of Hong Kong, who gave Carlos a quick tour of their training ground in preparation for the big races.
This week, we welcome to the show a veteran of the Philippine sports broadcasting industry, Sev Sarmenta. With over four decades of experience, he shares the most memorable moments of his career and his take on one of the biggest names taking over today’s Southeast Asian sports scene, tennis star Alex Eala — who is set to to make history as the first seeded Filipina player at Wimbledon next week. Later, Pete joins us on the road from France to catch us up on all things World Cup and more. Plus… the latest ice hockey buzz with coach Mike Lam of Kung Pao Kings Hockey School.
