Every weekday from noon, The Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from current affairs to cookery, sport, the arts, technology, and music... lots of music.
Happy Friday, and welcome to The Brew. At 12:10 it’s Marshy Movie Time with James Marsh, live from Chiang Mai. Reviews today include VisionQuest, which has become Disney+’s most-watched show, and Tenzing, the Apple TV film about Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary that has topped the movie charts in ninety-two countries. At 1:25 it’s Sports and All with Danny Hicks, our second this week, and he’s live once again from the Hong Kong Open in Fanling. Yesterday local golfers Matthew Cheung and Isaac Lam both shot six under and briefly led the field, the first time two Hong Kong players have topped the board in the tournament’s history. Join Danny and James on Facebook live if you can

Happy Monday and welcome to another week on The Brew. Robbie McRobbie will get us going with all his news, live from the Kai Tak Sports Park, at 12:10. Then at 12:40 Tim Huxley is in with Formula 1, after Lando Norris won a chaotic Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, Max Verstappen crashed out on the opening lap, and the circus now packs up for Monza this coming weekend. At 1:25 Neil Runcieman joins us live from Ho Chi Minh City. He’s just got a car, so he’s been discovering the rules of the road, Saigon style. Get too close to the car in front and the cameras can sting you for about half a month’s salary, trucks thunder down the outside lane at night like they own the place. Ho Chi Minh isn’t one of the world’s most dangerous cities to drive in, it's just that on the roads it's a little bit nuts! Join Neil on Facebook live if you can.
