The problem of illegally modified vehicles in Hong Kong is growing, significantly impacting residents' lives. However, traditional manual inspections alone are inefficient. Isn't there a more time-efficient and labor-saving solution? Artificial intelligence can help! The Environmental Protection Department recently developed AIMER, an intelligent noise monitoring system that integrates high-definition cameras and sensors. It not only automatically identifies noise sources but also automatically records illegally modified vehicles, notifying law enforcement agencies for follow-up action. Crucially, AIMER also includes a mobile app. With a simple recording, the system can identify illegal activity on construction sites! This provides builders and the Environmental Protection Department with a wealth of data, enabling the development of more precise control policies.
