    In recent years, the proliferation of emerging drugs has posed a serious threat to society, with young people particularly vulnerable to their harmful effects. As a frontline anti-narcotics officer, Wong Chi-ming, Chief Customs Officer of the Integrity Management Group of Hong Kong Customs, is committed to combating drug trafficking at source. Drawing on his professional knowledge and experience, he leads his team in preventing drugs from entering the community. Wong has also served as an instructor at the Hong Kong Customs College, where he has trained many customs officers who now help safeguard Hong Kong.

Owing to cultural and language differences, misunderstandings may sometimes arise between local correctional services officers and non-Chinese persons in custody. Correctional Officer Bala Harbindar Singh, himself of non-Chinese ethnicity, plays an effective role in bridging the two sides. His fair, impartial and patient approach to communication has also made him a role model for his colleagues.
