Many civil servants encourage those around them to join the Government. Hung Man-kit, Works Supervisor I of the Water Supplies Department, joined the department’s apprenticeship scheme with encouragement from his father, who also worked for the department. Through hard work and a proactive attitude, he soon rose to the rank of Works Supervisor I. Hung has not only brought fresh energy to the civil service, but has also become a role model for young people aspiring to join its ranks.
