Fuel prices surge / "Asian flush" study / Digital gap for the elderly / HK Express moving to Terminal 2

On this programme, we talked to a representative from the transport industry about fuel surcharges. Escalation in the Middle East conflict has propelled global crude oil prices to heights not seen in years. Will airlines and public transportation in Hong Kong be able to weather the storm, or will measures be needed to moderate prices?
We then learned more from a City University professor about the so-called "Asian glow", and how his team's new study may provide a possible explanation behind the condition that affects about 40 percent of the population in East Asia.
Following the break, we talked about the digital divide between the older and younger generation, after a recent survey on the SAR's digital literacy was conducted.
And we wrapped up the show with a conversation talking to the COO of HK Express about the upgrades at Hong Kong International Airport's Terminal 2.

Falling property prices / Climate change and food security / Liverpool's Premier League victory

    主持人:Azam Khan and Mike Rowse

On Tuesday's Backchat, we looked at Hong Kong's property prices.

The prices of residential homes in the city have declined for the fourth consecutive month, reaching their lowest levels in nearly nine years. Experts attribute this downturn to a combination of global uncertainties as well as natural economic slowdowns.
Data from the Ratings and Valuation Department shows the city's official price index dropped to 284.2 in March, while rents increased by 0.1 percent to 193.3. What do these trends reveal about the state of our property market?
After the news, we learned more about climate change’s impact on coconut production and food supply in general.

And in the last part of the show, we spoke to a local Liverpool fan about the team’s victory in the Premier League.

    9:05am-9:30am: Falling property prices

9:05am-9:30am: Hannah Jeong, Head of Valuation and Advisory Services at CBRE
9:05am-9:30am: Rita Li, Professor at the Department of Economics and Finance at Hong Kong Shue Yan University

9:32am-9:47am: Climate change and food security
