    2026 property market outlook / Kai Tak Cruise Terminal tender

    On Friday's programme, we talked to experts on Hong Kong's property market outlook in 2026. According to the latest official figures, home prices rose nearly 2.8 percent in the first 11 months of 2025. Are we expecting a continued recovery this year? And will prices continue to rise? We found out.

    After the break, we talked to the Commissioner for Tourism and a scholar about the future of the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. The government recently launched an open tender for a ten-year tenancy to operate and manage the terminal, after the agreement with the current operator expires in May 2028.

    2025 smart city index / American Eagle's PR stunt / World Transplant Games

    On Friday's Backchat, we looked at ways to foster sustainable development. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University recently compiled the 2025 Smart City Index, which is the world’s first smart city development assessment index based on publicly available data.
    We spoke to the expert behind the survey, and found out how local authorities can utilise the data when planning our future development.

    We then zoomed in on the importance of promotion and branding, after jeans giant American Eagle recently unveiled a controversial campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney. We learned more about the inner workings of the marketing sector.

    After the break, we discussed the World Transplant Games that's kicking off in Dresden, Germany, on August 17. A team of 46 transplant athletes from Hong Kong will be taking part in the Games.
