    Ride-hailing permit cap / CUHK metabolic health study / Global Prosperity Summit 2026

    On this programme, we first speak with experts and a lawmaker about ride hailing permits. The regulatory regime launches next year, but there's still creases being ironed out, including the number of permits to be issued. Authorities said they're consulting the public too. 
    After the break, we unpack a recent study conducted by researchers at the Chinese University of Hong Kong which found that middle-aged women with overweight or obesity lose more fat by combining flexible time-restricted eating with aerobic exercise.
    And lastly, we learn all about the Global Prosperity Summit that is set to be held in Hong Kong next week.

    On Thursday's Backchat, we heard from an expert about a serious brain injury called subdural hematoma, after two young boxers in Japan died in separate bouts during the same event in Tokyo earlier this month.

    We then looked at the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games which has kicked off and will run until August 17th in Beijing.
    After the break, we talked to to a representative from the Equal Opportunities Commission on how employers can introduce more family-friendly practices in the workplace.
    And to wrap it all up, we spoke to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data on its latest anti-fraud campaign for tertiary students before the school year begins.
