    Meta & Google negligence verdict / Proposed two-tier surcharge mechanism for late MPF payments / AI and advertising

    On this episode, we looked at a landmark verdict that found tech giants Meta and Alphabet's Google liable for designing platforms that are dangerous for kids and teenagers.

    After the break, we talked to a lawmaker on the new surcharge proposed by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority for employers who fail to settle outstanding MPF contributions.

    And to wrap up the show, we heard from the founder of a marketing firm on how artificial intelligence has drastically changed the advertising landscape.

    On Thursday's Backchat, we heard from an expert about a serious brain injury called subdural hematoma, after two young boxers in Japan died in separate bouts during the same event in Tokyo earlier this month.

    We then looked at the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games which has kicked off and will run until August 17th in Beijing.
    After the break, we talked to to a representative from the Equal Opportunities Commission on how employers can introduce more family-friendly practices in the workplace.
    And to wrap it all up, we spoke to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data on its latest anti-fraud campaign for tertiary students before the school year begins.
