Chinese mainland's strengthening partnership with ASEAN

This week, we’ll explore the strengthening partnership between China and neighbouring countries, particularly members of ASEAN—the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
China has been the bloc’s largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years, while ASEAN has been China’s top trading partner for the past five years. And about two months ago in November, the two sides upgraded the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area to a “3.0 version”, signalling a push to future-proof Asia’s trade flows. Weekly Roundup / Future of TikTok

    Presenters:CM Chan and Chloe Feng

This week on Trending China, we take a closer look at the future of TikTok. The video-sharing platform went dark over the weekend, only to come back online after US President Donald Trump signed an executive order granting a 75-day extension to sell the company. So what lies ahead for the platform? And will the so-called “TikTok refugees” who migrated to RedNote return to TikTok? To discuss this and more, CM Chan and Chloe Feng will speak to Zak Dychtwald, the founder of Young China Group.
