    Youth development and opportunities

Join Brian Wong this week as he discusses youth on the mainland.

China's youth unemployment rate has been declining with December figures showing a drop to 16.5 percent for those aged 16 to 24, down from 16.9 percent in November. Despite this, competition remains fierce, especially with around 12 million university students graduating each year.

To discuss this issue, Brian Wong is joined by Professor Li Cheng, Director of the Centre in Contemporary China and the World at the University of Hong Kong, and Mallie Prytherch, a researcher at the same centre.

Weekly Roundup / Humanoid robotics development

    Presenters:CM Chan and Chloe Feng

This week, we explore the humanoid robotics industry on the mainland. China made history last week by hosting the world's first humanoid robot marathon in Beijing, where 20 androids raced alongside humans over a 21-kilometre course. This groundbreaking event not only pushed the boundaries of robotic capabilities but also showcased the rapid advancement of the mainland’s humanoid robotics sector. What exactly can these humanoid robots do? How might they transform industries and our everyday lives?

Join CM Chan and Chloe Feng, as they discuss the trends and future of humanoid robotics. They’ll be joined by Wang Lei, CEO of Qingbao Robot in Shanghai.
