Chinese mainland's strengthening partnership with ASEAN

This week, we’ll explore the strengthening partnership between China and neighbouring countries, particularly members of ASEAN—the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
China has been the bloc’s largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years, while ASEAN has been China’s top trading partner for the past five years. And about two months ago in November, the two sides upgraded the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area to a “3.0 version”, signalling a push to future-proof Asia’s trade flows. What's the history behind this relationship? What opportunities are on the horizon?

Weekly Roundup / Xixia Imperial Tombs - new UNESCO World Heritage Site

    Presenters:CM Chan and Chloe Feng

This week, we’ll find out more about the ‘Xixia’ or ‘Western Xia’ Imperial Tombs, that have just been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This recognition highlights its importance as a centre for cultural exchange and commerce along the ancient Silk Road. The tombs are located near the Helan Mountains, about 30 kilometres west of Yinchuan. It includes nine imperial mausoleums and around 270 subsidiary tombs, covering more than 5 hectares.
Why are the Xixia Imperial Tombs so special? In what ways does it exemplify the cultural exchange between the East and West? CM Chan and Chloe Feng will discuss this with Lawrence Pang from the Society of Chinese Wisdom and Management.
