    Youth development and opportunities

Join Brian Wong this week as he discusses youth on the mainland.

China's youth unemployment rate has been declining with December figures showing a drop to 16.5 percent for those aged 16 to 24, down from 16.9 percent in November. Despite this, competition remains fierce, especially with around 12 million university students graduating each year.

To discuss this issue, Brian Wong is joined by Professor Li Cheng, Director of the Centre in Contemporary China and the World at the University of Hong Kong, and Mallie Prytherch, a researcher at the same centre.
