    The Medicinal Street is two episodes half hour documentary about the business and development of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong.

    Through recreating scenes of past history, talking with practitioners , we can see what is the origin of that interesting street and how it went through all those years.

    After 1997, its development entered a new era. There were regulation and measure of standard, control over the traditional business. And science and new technology become more and more significant in not only regulating but to put our ancient wisdom and tradition of Chinese medicine towards the world.

    Since the reunification with the motherland in July 1997, the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Hong Kong has entered a new phase. Hong Kong's TCM has established a solid foundation in terms of regulatory compliance, scientific research, education, and citizen services, and has been steadily advancing. Through the concerted efforts of the industry, academic and research communities, various sectors of society, and the government, as well as enhanced collaboration with mainland China and overseas partners, the development of TCM in Hong Kong will reach new heights. Furthermore, Hong Kong will play a crucial role as an international bridge, promoting the global recognition and adoption of traditional Chinese medicine.
