Epstein files release / First wheelchair user traveled to space / Protections against "super flu"

On Monday's Backchat, we started by speaking to experts about the latest Epstein Files. Mandated by a new law, the US Department of Justice is steadily releasing declassified documents linked to the deceased financier and paedophile.
However, both Democratic and Republican lawmakers were quick to point out that many names and pages remain redacted or blacked out. US President Donald Trump's name, meanwhile, has appeared more in the latest tranche of files. How much of a political danger is Mr Trump in?

After the break, we spoke to a top Hong Kong astro-physicist regarding Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin launching the first wheelchair user into space. He also shared with us the most exciting space developments to look forward to in 2026!
And lastly, we heared more from an infectious diseases expert, after the emergence of a “super flu” gripped headlines worldwide. Local health officials are once again reminding residents to get vaccinated.

Hong Kong's first hydrogen charging station / Master's programmes fee hike

    Presenters:Brian Wong and John Bruce

On Wednesday's Backchat, we found out more about the potential to develop hydrogen energy in Hong Kong.
That's after Towngas recently established a partnership with Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks to develop the city's first electric vehicle charging system using purely hydrogen.
The system in Science Park is expected to start operating in the second quarter of next year. We talked to representatives from both Towngas and the Science Park to learn more about the project, and whether hydrogen is indeed a viable energy source in the SAR.

After the break, we switched gears and looked at rising tuition charges for master's programmes at local universities. Fees have increased quite substantially in recent years, raising concerns about affordability for local students.

9:05am-9:30am: Hong Kong's first hydrogen charging station
    Speakers:
Filla Mak, Chief Operations Officer of Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks
Don Cheng, Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong Business at Towngas

    9:32am-10:00am: Tuition fee hikes
