Claims that Russia has invented a vaccine that cures all cancers have gone viral since early September. The posts are describing the so-called vaccine as a miracle, free, and ready-to-use. But a doctor we spoke to said the claims have been wildly exaggerated. He also stressed the importance of improving cancer literacy. Elvis Yu takes a closer look in this episode of Fact Focus.

HMPV is an old virus that's been circulating among humans for decades. And this winter, when cases began to spread on the mainland, so did a deluge of disinformation suggesting a new global pandemic was on the way.
Similarities were drawn with the onset of Covid-19 more than five years ago, with the fake news stoking anti-China sentiment. So what is HMPV and should we be concerned?
