On Wednesday's Backchat, we first talked about a large-scale cancer support programme by the Jockey Club Charities Trust, which provided assistance to some 36,000 cancer patients and their givers since its launch ten years ago. A study by the The University of Hong Kong has confirmed the Jockey Club Cancer Survivorship Care Project to be effective in helping patients and their families, and we found out more about it.
We then remained in the medical field and learned about a breakthrough treatment for joint damage from a form of arthritis.
After the break, we shifted our attention to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, where the Brics summit concluded. During the conference, Premier Li Qiang called on member states to actively spearhead development cooperation and tap into the growth potential of emerging sectors.
