New ESG roadmap for logistics industry / Medical support for local athletes / Government plan to regulate borrowing activities / Wartime military equipment discovery in East TST

    Presenters:Azam Khan and John Bruce

On Thursday's Backchat, we took a look at how the government's new roadmap on Environmental, Social and Governance -- or ESG development -- for the logistics industry is being received by local businesses.
The roadmap, which covers a three-year period from 2025 to 2027, adopts a three-stage approach for logistics SMEs to build up their ESG data collection and reporting capabilities, and meet the most stringent international ESG disclosure requirements by the time the roadmap expires.
After that, we dived into the world of sports medicine, after Chinese University and the Hong Kong Sports Institute partnered to strengthen cooperation on bolstering medical support for the city's professional athletes.
After the break, we spoke to a lawmaker about the government's plan to regulate borrowing activities for low-income earners and impose stricter rules for loan “referees”.

And to wrap things up, we found out from a police bomb disposal officer about a war-era military equipment that was recently discovered at a construction site in East Tsim Sha Tsui.
