    New LegCo term priorities / Indian cybersecurity app controversy / Humanoid robot development

    On Tuesday's programme, we talked to several lawmakers-elect on what their vision and priorities are for the upcoming term. They will be sworn in along with their fellow legislators on January 1st, at a ceremony administered by Chief Executive John Lee.
    After the break, we spoke to our tech correspondent about the Indian government's cybersecurity app - Sanchar Saathi. New Delhi initially ordered phonemakers in the country to install it but eventually revoked the order and made it voluntary, following backlash from tech companies and the opposition party.
    And lastly, we discussed with a lead researcher from Polytechnic University who helped create a new cutting-edge robotic system that will change the entire manufacturing landscape.

    Live Nation's new Whampoa concert venue / MTR's "Cat-Dog Carrying Scheme"

    On Friday's Backchat, we learnt about an upcoming concert venue. Live Nation, the organiser of the Coldplay concert, has announced the setting up of a new concert venue in Whampoa by the year's end, in what some hope can further bolster Hong Kong's offering of mid-sized venues.

    After the break, we looked at the MTR's decision to formalise its "Cat-Dog Carrying Scheme" starting from September. We talked to a representative from the SPCA and a transport expert on how the scheme's trial was received by pet owners and members of the public, and how its formalisation could change public transport usage.
