Five-Year Plan proposals by Jonathan Lamport / Four HK unis rank in the world's top 50 / 2026 Global Muslim Travel Index / Glaucoma treatment breakthrough

On this programme, a commercial sector lawmaker kicks off our discussion. In proposals for the SAR's first Five-Year Plan, he urged the city to leverage its specialized cargo and cold chain expertise to build an "aviation silk road." What would that entail and how feasible is it?

Then, we chat with a local think tank after four local universities finished in the top 50 in a global ranking. How crucial is this in boosting the morale of the SAR's post-education sector?

After the break, we find out the significance of the SAR claiming first runner-up for "Muslim-friendly Destination of the Year" in the Global Muslim Travel Index by the world’s leading Halal travel organisation, moving up one spot from last year.

And finally, we look into a new type of drug that could potentially treat glaucoma, an eye disease after a research team from the Chinese University of Hong Kong made a breakthrough recovery of nearly 70 percent of lost vision in experimental animal glaucoma testing.

    Presenters:Philip Wong and John Bruce

On this programme, we speak with a lawmaker and an expert to learn more about the city's labour market. Authorities earlier said they had been conducting an analysis on AI's impact on Hong Kong's overall labour market. The study will be incorporated into the mid-term update of Manpower Projections, which is expected to be released at the end of this year.

After the break, we hear from another lawmaker on how Hong Kong can become a safe haven for international funds.

To wrap up the show, we look into research that's found that brisk interval walking once a week can significantly boost body fat reduction and cardiorespiratory fitness in adults with abdominal obesity.
