    Summer Davos 2026 / PCPD launches Hong Kong International Data Privacy Academy / World's first AI slide-free pathology imaging system

    On Friday's programme, we go through the highlights of the 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos, which took place in the coastal city of Dalian.

    After the break, we speak with the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data to understand more about the Hong Kong International Data Privacy Academy and how it plans to train organisations.


    And to close it out, we look into a research from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology that could revolutionise tumour detection after they developed the world’s first AI-enabled, slide-free pathology imaging system that can locate tumour cells within three minutes.

    Possible hepatitis B cure / China's theme park boom / Oracle bone scripts exhibition / Chinese satellite refuelling

    On Tuesday's Backchat, we first ventured into the medical world, after the University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Medicine said one of its 41 drugs under clinical trials for Hepatitis B may provide a cure for patients. We spoke to the head of the research team, and found out how the drug works.
    After that, we explored the theme park boom on the mainland, after the recent opening of Legoland Shanghai Resort generated significant buzz.
    After the break, we switched our focus to an exhibition at the Central Library showcasing the historical development of Chinese characters.
    Wrapping up our programme, we found out from a space expert about how two Chinese satellites had reportedly docked in geostationary orbit for a historic refuelling mission.
